Papertrey freebie challenge card

So it was a sad day at the Monroe house today.  Last night was worse.  Our beloved Patriots didn't play so well and the Giants won the Superbowl.  Yes, we are LOSERS and no, we don't like it.  However, we are from Boston, so we are used to losing.  We get up, we go to work, we drink Dunkin Donuts coffee, we whine and complain and talk about every play the next day, but we move on.  There is always the Red Sox, although my neighbor told me not to put any money on our team this year.  No surprise there. But you know, there is always something in the future to look forward to.  For me, something to look forward to is PTI's February Anniversary release.  I love the 5th-15th because there are always such fun and unique posts on the blogs I follow.  I follow at least half of the design team members and during release time they are always posting beautiful craft projects every day.

They are also holding all kinds of challenges and give-aways, so I'll be posting a lot this week in hopes of winning one of their awesome prize packages.  Before I show you today's challenge, did you love any of the SuperBowl commercials?  I was eager for the Honda - Matthew Broderick’s, but my favorite was this 'naked' M&M one.  Too funny.  The guy reminds me of several of my relatives!!  The expression, the total lack of discretion... too funny.

And since many of you didn't see the Matthew Broderick, here is this one too.  Gotta love Ferris Bueller.
So do you want to see the card I made for the PTI anniversary challenge?  Well here you go. I took some inspiration from my friend Karen's post last night where she put a little bling in the middle of her bow.  Love this effect and I wanted to give this image center stage with just a touch of accents.

Nichole posted some fun free digital downloads.  Check them out.   All you need to use these is some cardstock and a printer.  Go on, get creative!  Click the link below to access the free downloads.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have an awesome day.
