Bloggers Challenge - Tiger Fans

Hi Bloggers,

Happy Friday.  Today's post is for the Blogger's Challenge.  This week the challenge was to use die cuts.  I was inspired today to make some Graduation Party invitations.  Why?  Well, because graduation will be here before we know it in June, but probably mostly because Eric made his college choice decision this week.  He will be heading to South Carolina in the fall to study Engineering at Clemson University.  We think this is a great decision for Eric and we are so excited for him.

Clemson's colors are orange, white and purple so I  used Tangerine Tango, brown and white on the card.

What do you think?  I love the colors and I'll probably continue to play with this design until I get just the right look for it.

Any Clemson Alumni out there reading my blog?  If so, let me know!  Any place we meet Clemson Alumni they are always very enthusiastic about their school and since Clemson probably makes as much money in merchandising as they do in tuition, it's pretty easy to spot an alumni by their orange clemson clothes.

For those who don't know anything about the school, below is a quick summary...
  • Clemson is in the city of Clemson in upstate South Carolina.
  • The city is 45 minutes from Greenville, SC, 2 hours from Charlotte NC, 2 hours from Atlanta GA.
  • The school has about 19,000 undergraduate students.
  • The school mascot is a Tiger (super cute) and the logo is a pawprint.
  • Our home in MA is 16 1/2 hours drive away (Yikes!)
  • Clemson is noted for being one the friendliest colleges in the nation.  Students have a reputation for being happy (nothing wrong with that!)
  • Clemson has a very well known and respected Engineering program.
  • The city of Clemson and Clemson University have really close relations so it's a super enthusiastic town on game days!
  • Eric's girlfriend Jessa is also going to Clemson in the fall.  She too will study engineering but she got accepted into the Honor's College.  Eric and Jessa are adorable together and yes, I'm already planning on baby clemson outfits!  A mom can dream!
  • Clemson is a huge sports school.  Not only are they division 1 for most sports, but they have a huge percentage of students participate in club or inter-mural sports on campus.
