Blogger's Challenge 4th of July

Hi friends,

Today's blog is for Lisa Somerville's blogger's challenge.  You can check out the challenge and the other participants entries on the link below:

This week's challenge theme is 4th of July.   I've been having fun with these DeNami chickies for summer and decided to ink up this cutey pie as a nice 'hello' card for someone.

I actually had a little embossing crisis with this card.  The original design had the oval chickie on top and the embossed white sentiment below, but when the blue card stock accidentally found it's way in the craft garbage bin (hot gun for embossing got too close to my hand and in the panic of the potential burn, the soon to be embossed cardstock took a tumble) I had to do a re-design.

Thankfully the non-heat embossed powder slipped right off with a dry paint brush so I was able to cover up the versamark spot with the oval and re-do the embossing on the top.

This design works just fine - don't you think?  all you crafters out there know that a mistake is just simply a chance to re-design or add embellishment - Agreed?

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
